I have a client with a single VOIP connection and a dynamic IP shared with the PC. It works. What I am looking for and I know I've seen it but haven't been able to find it again, is to extract the IP address from traffic and put it into a table to allow the VOIP phone to reestablish connectivity to the border firewall when the IP changes. I have looked through dynamic dns but the potential latency to restablish the correct IP is said to be up to 20 minutes, that won't do. Better ideas, documents, sites?
