I have OpenBSD v3.7 and v3.8 run just fine in VMWare Server. I however haven't fixed the VMWare Tools issue as of yet but apparently there is a work around to have VMWare Tools work for OpenBSD as well. I have a bunch of OpenBSD on VMWare bookmarks if you want me to post.
