Are you looking to make the DNS server a caching-only DNS server or are you going to have be authoritative for a domain (or set of domains?) (If you don't know the answer to this question then any 'examples' are going to be lost on the ignorant... no offense, you should understand this before delving further if you are truly going to take responsibility for it.)
