Not a software bug, anyways...As Art pointed out, the hardware does not appear to be responding properly. It is never a recommended practice to put multiple devices on a single IDE channel, as IDE has no method of dealing with bus contention (like select/release in SCSI). I only do it when one disk is low-usage (second disk with just MP3s on it, or whatever) and the other channel is already in use. Chris
