I do not view such people as "innocent" - having your mail server
configured to do this is acting as a DOS multiplier to everyone else
on the internet. Basically then when a spammer uses me as the forged
originating domain for his crap, these sites beat the shit out of
me in return with all the bounces.
They belong in the tarpit for 24 hours. that way the DOS
is mitigated.
