Hi,

I've managed to have an OpenBSD4.0 box connected to another box via
serial cable, with a getty running on both ends. I killed one getty and
connected to the serial port with a terminal program. But the other
getty was already gone, having spawned login. Now I have two login
processes and no getty:

# /bin/ps alx|/bin/grep login
    0 12916 19242 0 -22 0 0 0 - ZW+ 00 0:00.00
(login_passwd)
    0 19242 1 0 4 0 268 676 ttyout IEs+ 00 0:00.01 (login)

Unfortunately, I can kill (-9) neither of them (presumably because the buffers
of 19242 cannot be drained). Stty sane and similar also had no effect. Any
other ideas to restore getty operation on that line, short of rebooting the
machine?

TIA!

Best,
