The Blade 1000 will work, but only in single-processor mode. My Blade 2000 works just fine and was used to test a lot of the patches Kettenis pumped out to get USIII working in the first place. As for java and X portions, that's left as a exercise to the user after he gets OpenBSD installed on the B1000. :-)
