Pardon the off-topic post, but I'm at a loss on how to proceed next.
I have a friend with two domains (rockonwheels.com and rockonwheelsstore.com) through Lycos. We are trying to change the DNS records for rockonwheels.com to point to my server but are unable to login through the Lycos crappy web ui.
So far as I can tell from the web ui, Lycos doesn't even recognize that George has rockonwheels.com through them--only information for rockonwheelsstore.com is accessible.
Worse, the only way to contact Lycos is through a web form and they do not ever respond. The phone number listed for Lycos in whois just gives a recording that basically says to fill out the web form for help.
So, if anyone has an e-mail address of someone at Lycos please send it to me off-list.
Or, if you know of a way for the owner of a domain to force a transfer of that domain without the cooperation of the current registrar, I really love to know it. That could probably even go to the list ;-)
