the 82566mm seems to work on i386 and amd64 on my centrino pro machine except for jumbo frames. the intel linux driver page mentions that it doesn't support jumbo frames: http://support.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-009209.htm#jumbo_frames i don't know whether this is a hardware limitation.
