Right.. you can do your own with less distribution sets (without X for example), but OpenBSD now releases a base iso for installation, you can found this for the pre-release 4.2 at ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/snapshots/i386/install42.iso if you wish to try.
