hi
I have been to the peer guardian website and read the options about using
Moblock for Linux etc.
I would like to discuss what is the best way to automatically download the
lists available from http://peerguardian.sourceforge.net/lists/ and use
them with PF.
There are 4 list files that come in the 7.z format. some these file contain
over 100000 lines. The format is "name: startIP-endIP"
 ex: ads.list

How can I configure my PF to disable all network traffic back and forth to
these IP (in the same spirt as Peer Guardian) ?
I use my openBSD machine to download torrents and have the ports open for
transmissioncli. I would like to be safe from all the watchdog agencies.
PeerGuardian just blocks all traffic to these sites, and allows a choice for
http.

I would also like to do the same - allow http to all these address (or not)
but block all other traffic.

I would like to make a sincere request to keep this thread focused on the
request of getting this to work - and the related issues. please don't
comment that this is strange / to go and buy the media etc..

Can PF manage such a large set of IP.
Will doing this degrade my machines for interactive work ?
How can I automate the download/untar of these files and update the
pf.conffile for such large number of IP's

Essentially I need to run some thing similar to PeerGuardian on my OpenBSD
box.

thx
jon
