Probably a silly question, but did you copy the localhost.cf to /etc/mail? Also just in case it is helpful this is what I usually do 1) edit the relevant m4 file, say localhost.m4 2) 'make localhost.cf' within /usr/share/sendmail/cf 3) copy the file to the /etc/mail directory -- Vijay Sankar, M.Eng., P.Eng.
