I've had similar issues using OpenBSD as a WAP. The only card that
ever worked solidly for me was a wi-based card, but those can only do
802.11b. While I prefer ral, lately I've had more success with
pgt--but I have been unable to final an 802.11g card/driver that
consistently works reliably on OpenBSD. Eventually they all require
an ifconfig down/up to functional normally and none have been able to
sustain prolonged throughput without falling over.
