Not just yet! You can boot of something non-softraid and do the rest on softraid. This will be a feature I will work on once I have the initial 3 disciplines ready and we can handle foreign metadata. Then I'll work on booting/rooting a softraid. My todo list is still on my website if you'd like to contribute.
