Attansic was bought by Atheros IIRC, so maybe try asking there. Anyway, there's a GPL'd driver which was integrated into linux some time ago. This could be helpful for reverse engineering. Not supporting that chip isn't really an option since it's one of the most used in new motherboards as of today.
