To clarify, dhcp works perfectly as long as there isn't any bootp involved, i.e. clients which are configured to use dhcp get IP address, domain name, etc work fine.
If I run dhcp in the foreground there's no output whatsoever when clients try bootp. Same thing for the system log files. Tcpdump tells me that the client tries to connect to port 67, but nothing is listening there and the client fails. Lsof and netstat confirm that nothing is listening on port 67. Lars
