The T1000's are massively multi-processorish, but each CPU equivalent is pretty wimpy...as in, maybe low-end PIIIish. OpenBSD doesn't benefit from multiple processors for simple firewalls, so you will be downgrading from whatever is in your DL145 to a very old PIII-class system (and I think I am giving them the benefit of the doubt at that). Now...maybe that's all you need. In fact, it may be much more than you need...but if so..why all the money for a T1000, when much faster, lower-power machines are available for lower costs. Or just keep using the DL145s if they are still in good condition. Nick.
