OpenBSD's compat_svr4 and compat_linux binary emulations do not support 64-bit processors. So, you'll have to find some other solution for running Mathematica or Matlab binaries on your machine. Incidentally, I'm running Mathematica on i386 using compat_linux. There are a few non-trivial steps involved in the installation--contact me if you want the details.
