I have a problem concerning a Sata Dvd-Rom recognized by the BIOS as:
TSSTcorpDVD-ROM SH The motherboard is a Asus M3A, with a Sata300 hard drive and the above mentionned Sata150 DVD-ROM. I have installed OpenBSD amd64 snapshot of March 27, 2009, using the same DVD-ROM. The installation went very fine. But, after halting and rebooting, and after removing the CD from the DVD-ROM reader, OpenBSD stopped during the booting process. The problem does not happen if I insert a CD in the DVD-ROM reader before running OpenBSD, but only if the hard drive and dvd reader are connected as raid, and not as ahci (sata options of the M3A mobo). Of course, if I remove the DVD-ROM from the case, OpenBSD works very fine! But I thought that reporting this problem should be a help for anybody, unless the problem was already known...
