1- Your BIOS needs update. You have revision 0017, many issues have been fixed but 
need revision => 0067
Last December, revision number was 0137 but dit not added too many bugs, although 
amd64 SMP stopped working while OK in single processor.
2- I have two boards, differing from just 1 unit in the assembly number (AA304 and AA305): 
one does not updates the partition table.
3- Had no problems with D-Link Realtek NICs, have to say I kept ACPI enabled.
Rem: when the board was put on the market it was designed for "legacy" OS only. 
Linux support came later due to demand.
So, first try a later BIOS which fixes hardware accessability outside "legacy" drivers. Try both i386 and amd64 OSes, as, as I experience, assemblies numers can get in the way.
