When I manually set up the IP address (etc.) for the iMac, I get several seconds of connectivity before the link goes dead. That doesn't seem to be enough time to get a DHCP lease, though I do have dhcpd running on the OpenBSD laptop. The same laptop provides dhcp services to the iMac on the wired network just fine.
