Has the /boot file changed since 4.3? 4.3 installed and ran great, but to get 4.4 installed, I had to boot my 4.3 cd and cp the /boot file from it to my 4.4 system (which I'm on now). With 4.6 soon to be released, I'm wanting to upgrade to 4.5 or 4.6, but don't want to start unless my 4.3 /boot file can work in either of them.
This is all due to a "broken mbr" problem I mentioned back when 4.4 was first released. Here is the size of my /boot file: -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 43092 Mar 12 2008 boot fwiw, the commands I used (which I got from this list) were: cp -p /usr/mdec/boot /mnt/boot /usr/mdec/installboot -v /mnt/boot /usr/mdec/biosboot wd0 Thanks
