Hello.. err.. random radio frequency. Reading tty(4) would have explained that /dev/cua01 is the dial-out device for COM2, it should be used by programs that are.. dialling out.
tty01 is what you should use in /etc/ttys, there is a setup script included that could have helped you. -Brynet
