You probably use an USB keyboard, which attaches as wskbd1. Until very recently these keyboards did not bell due to missing plumbing in the kernel. You should be able to mute the bell with # wsconsctl -f /dev/wskbd1 keyboard.volume=0 (and we definitely need to improve wsconsctl to recognize `keyboard1' as a valid device). Miod
