Dear Friend, The season of giving is now upon us and we wish you and your family the best during this special time of the year. As you consider which gifts to buy for your friends and family, we hope you remember a child who is waiting for your help, a child you can sponsor on our Emergency Child Waiting List. This list is updated monthly with children who are living in emergency situations and need immediate help. A gift as low as $20 a month will help a child and his or her family. Below, read about Mobina,a child currently waiting for your gift.
Mobina's Story Mobina is an extremely bright ten year old girl who lives in the city of Amol. She has a GPA of 20 out of 20 possible points. Mobina's father passed away due to a heart attack. Because Mobina's mother was her father's second wife, his estate went to his first family by law. This left Mobina and her mother with no choice but to live with her grandmother.Mobina's grandmother is frail and does not have much support for the family. They need your help to survive. Please consider sponsoring Mobina today to help her have a successful life and future. Fereshteh's family, whose financial situation does not even meet their vital needs, lives in a worn-out shelter with minimal resources. Two years ago, due to the carelessness of a group of children, she experienced severe burns on her face and both hands, making their living condition twice as difficult. After becoming informed about Fereshteh's condition, Child Foundation of Iran called for help for healing Fereshteh's burns. Fortunately, their call was answered by numerous positive responses. The Medical Commission in the School of Medicine of the University of Tehran met with distinguished professors of surgery and Fereshteh, along with her family, headed toward Tehran. After a short while, the first stage of surgery was carried out on Fereshteh's hand, which fortunately had a positive result and doubled Fereshteh's hope for gain ing back her health and her face. With assistance from philanthropic supporters residing abroad, different stages of surgery are being continued and Fereshteh will be ready to attend class at the beginning of the school year.
