Well, as everybody knows, using a RISC architecture allows them to
make much faster processors.  Intel just wishes they could make a 1GHz
chip to match those speedy ARM parts. :)

More seriously, less isn't always more.  For instance, virtually
indexed and tagged caches are a major pain.
