I'm not sure what thread you refer to, but I suspect I do. The thread involved my buddy who has the following how-to (I also don't recall if the how-to was mentioned in the thread). He and I were able to chat over ssh. There was a time delay (the geo distance was between Cincinnati and Chicago).
