The reason this is missing is very simple. Many of these manual pages were written decades ago by people who tried to be complete. Hoever nothing is every perfect. Over the decades, people have noticed missing things in all the manual pages and then tried to help improve on the original work. They've written a diff, then submitted it. Please submit a diff to improve the manual page, and join the cast of thousands and thousands who have raised your expectations so much (as in, you expected the manual page to cover it, and it didn't, and yes it surprised you. Because you are so used to other people having made them so good..)
