the device is spinning. Could you send a dmesg
and confirm that if you run:
aucat -ddd -z 256
it exits very quicky (almost as soon as a client starts
playing/recording) ?
Could you confirm that the following:
aucat -ddd -z 256 -m play
doesn't exit (sound quality degrades instead until the next
stop/start cycle).
