Seems like I needed to `mkdir /var/empty`, as the manual stated. However, I
thought this was only needed because of the _smtp{d,q} users, which are created
with /var/empty as their homedir. Instead, I used /opt/opensmtpd as their
homedir, and therefor did not create the /var/empty directory. Maybe the
INSTALL can be improved at this point?

Thanks to lynge on IRC for helping me out.
