There's no way to do that properly with "yum", sorry. If you want to preserve 'postfix', installing with rpm is only an option here (you can download package manually from http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/ )
This issue will be solved shortly somehow, I need to discuss the issue with 'smtpd.8.gz' missing in alternatives with postfix packagers, because they haven't included it there for some reasons. --- wbr, Denis.
