The first I was thinking of was anonymous auth. It's quite common.
I understand your concern not to add new stuff all the time (at this 
time of the project).

Not specifying a cn=admin password makes the ldap table not working. 
As weird as it is.

I don't know if you should consider it bug to solve or feature to 
implement.
