Hi guys, One of my customers asked me why after they uninstalled OpenSMTPD from one of their FreeBSD servers they are left with the following processes running, they are still there after reboot, with smtpd_enable removed from rc.conf, smtp is also removed from /usr/local/etc/rc.d.
So why are these processes being started on boot? root 2334 0.0 0.0 34812 0 - IWsJ - 0:00.00 smtpd: [priv] (smtpd) _smtpq 2335 0.0 0.0 34812 1308 - IJ Thu09AM 0:00.27 smtpd: queue (smtpd) 257 2336 0.0 0.0 34812 676 - IJ Thu09AM 0:00.01 smtpd: control (smtpd) 257 2338 0.0 0.0 38908 6448 - IJ Thu09AM 0:00.77 smtpd: lookup (smtpd) 257 2339 0.0 0.0 34812 940 - IJ Thu09AM 0:00.01 smtpd: scheduler (smtpd) 257 2340 0.0 0.0 34812 2568 - IJ Thu09AM 0:00.12 smtpd: pony express (smtpd) 257 2341 0.0 0.0 34812 0 - IWJ - 0:00.00 smtpd: klondike (smtpd) Any help is highly appreciated, and thanks a million for the awesome software and support
