I've noticed after tightening up the SPF DNS record for sysfu.com with the '-all' parameter, Dmarc reports started flooding in for emails sent through the OpenSMTPD mailing list (and others) which were now failing SPF and DKIM checks as they made their way to the inboxes of mail list subscribers.

I did a little research on this problem and turned up a proposed 'x-original-authentication-results' standard that preserves SPF and DKIM information for email sent through list servers. [1]

Is this standard something that would have to be implemented on a per project basis for all the different listserve software out there, or would support also need to be coded into OpenSMTPD?

I think this is going to become more and more of a problem for mailing lists as the major email providers continue to tighten their SPF and DKIM deliverability requirements.
