Hi everyone,

I'm a student and I have the project to make a backup mail infrastructure for
my business.

I choose OpenSMTPD because ... it's just the best SMTP server I ever seen :)

So, trouble 1:

I have a message pending in queue with error return:

> BANNER rejected: 554-mx.example.org Your access to this mail system has been
> rejected due to the sending MTA's poor
> reputation. If you believe that this failure is in error please contact the
> intended recipient via alternate means.

I can't do anything for the moment for this trouble, so I remove the message
from queue.

When I show queue, message is removed.

But I look in logs, and I see smtpd still try to connect to the relay.

So I restart OpenSMTPD to apply change and the message come back in the queue
!!!

I don't understand why.

And, trouble 2:

A user sent a message to domain @club-internet.fr (don't laugh, It's not me :)
), and the message fail because OpenSMTPD
can't resolve this domain (MX fail error). But on the system, I can resolv
name, mx and @IP of the mx.

Why my system can resolv domain and mx but not OpenSMTPD ?

Thanks

Antonio C
