I read that & wrote what I wrote, *because* I saw you using the wrong port. I also wrote that perhaps Apple Mail was expecting to use the RFC port. If you use port 56789 and tell Apple Mail to use that non-standard port, it would work too - but you are using a non-RFC port and hard coding it.... Hey, why not use port 22? Hmmm.... I wonder...
