  In January it was recommended to use this Debian patch to compile on a
system using OpenSSL 1.1:

  Is this patch still recommended?

  Slackware current upgraded to OpenSSL 1.1 but also kept OpenSSL 1.0 in
place for now.

  The patch builds ok, but is it the correct thing to do?
