issue with 'smtpctl encrypt'

Hi,

I wanted to set a new password on FreeBSD 12.1 but the encrypt command 
failed:

$> smtpctl encrypt newpassword
usage: encrypt <string>

Any syntax variations of "newpassword" did fail. Any ideas?
