My apologies for not having checked the thread, however, his log clearly
states a timeout while trying to connect to that address. Does it maybe
fail to resolve the domain name?

This has been tested earlier in the thread, and it connected successfully at
the TCP/IP level.
Even the STARTTLS negociation seemed OK when testing with openssl s_client.
Source IP is the same, cert seems OK, etc, etc.
