But let me use this post again to advertise that oslec is working a lot better
in Zaptel/Bristuffed. Not that i recommend Bristuff, quite the opposite. But
when i tested my ISDN-card once whit OSLEC/bristuff the echo was 100% canceled
and no backgroud noise. With OSLEC/mISDN the echo
was lower but not 100% canceled. And you allways get a lite backgroud noise
when a EC is enabled or txgain=-1 is set.
My test setting:
SIP Phone <-> Asterisk(once Bristuffed, once mISDN) <->HFC-Card in NT-Mode <-> ISDN/Analog Adapter <-> Analog Phone
I think that the mISDN dsp deliver the audio a lite bit different to the EC
(louder/quieter, faster/slower, frequency or so) then the zaptel dsp.
What could be the reason that oslec does not doing such a good job ins mISDN
then in zaptel.
I send David Rowe (Author of OSLEC) some HFC-Cards and an ISDN/Analog Adapter.
He also will test now olsec in mISDN. I am in suspense of it´s
tests.
