I just pushed yet another fix for mmap heap allocation on platforms other than Mac OS X and GNU/Linux. I have tested it on NetBSD and GNU/Linux (Fedora 18), but not on Mac OS X. Please let me know if I have broken anything on Mac OS X, and, if so, how -- I would like to get this fixed properly so we can stop bouncing back and forth between different sets of broken platforms...
