Pesawat naas tersebut mengangkut sebanyak 133 penumpang dengan tujuh awak pesawat sehingga pesawat mengangkut total 140 orang. Kru pesawat itu adalah kapten pilot Marwoto Komar, kopilot Gagam Saman Rohnana, supervisor awak kabin Wiranto Wuryono, serta pramugari Irawati, Mariati, Imam Arif Iskandar, dan Ratna Budianti. Empat orang lainnya dirawat di RS Dr Sardjito, yaitu Miss Cynthia, Murni Indriati, Dwijo Sesono, Rosa AA Basa (asal Jepang).
