Hi list,

More feedback:

We found (in mitk 0.7) that setting a DataTreeNode in the scene with a NULL
base data makes the rendering crash the application. It is very unlikely that
would happen, but some developers may create nodes with no data, but just for
organizing the tree and other stuff not related to rendering. This is
accomplished by now setting to those nodes an empty mitk::PointSet for
instance, but ideally it should not be required to set any data.

We believe that allowing the rendering engine to deal with empty data tree
nodes will enhance the robustness of the mitk applications.

Regards.
