Hi Juan, in each release of VTK 5.0x, the vtkProp class has the method RenderTranslucentGeometry <http://www.vtk.org/doc/release/5.0/html/a01918.html#z511_1> . However, you're right, in VTK 5.1 this method will be renamed for some reason (who know's...). Until VTK 5.1 will be released and is confirmed to be compatible to MITK, you should stick to any of the VTK 5.0x releases....
