Hi Sebastian,

thank you very much for investigating these Windows issues closer!
Unfortunately, we do not have a Vista machine to test MITK and openCherry yet,
so the problems you are experiencing are most probably related to your Windows
version. I will try to commit a fix for it in the next 2 weeks (Christmas
holidays...)

Regards,

Sascha

Betreff: Re: [mitk-users] order of cherry declarations in QmitkToolSelectionBox

Hi Sascha,

You guys are doing a great job with OpenCherry. I know it's
experimental and I will like to contribute by keeping you posted with
any windows issue that I find. My SVN repository is daily updated.

If I switch the order of the declarations, I get the following error:

C:\source\mitk\Utilities\Poco\Foundation\include\Poco/Mutex_WIN32.h(89)
: error C3861: 'TryEnterCriticalSection': identifier not found

I searched this error and found several clues. Apparently, the error
occurs because "the preprocessor macro _WIN32_WINNT is not being set
properly before the Windows header files are included"
http://www.zeroc.com/forums/help-center/351-ice-1-2-tryentercriticalsection-problem.html

#ifndef _WIN32_WINNT
#   define _WIN32_WINNT 0x400
#endif

I'm running Vista and VS2005

best regards,
sebastian
