Hi Jochen, Good news! The "Slicing mode" appears to be a GPU texture mapper based renderer ( at least i think this after some look in the code of MITK volume rendering module ). If possible, can you change the Slicing Mode to ray cast in the ExtApp and tell me about the results? Will be more slow, but not so much.
