Dear Gerald, that sounds interesting. Could you share or contribute your 2D mapper code? In general the mitk::Geometry2DDataVtkMapper3D seems to be well documented (http://docs.mitk.org/nightly-qt4/classmitk_1_1Geometry2DDataVtkMapper3D.html) . Could you specify your problem a bit more?
