Dear all,
I'd like to report an small issue, when you indeed have git installed
and use the new makefiles of mitk...
Our project still uses svn, so even if mitk finds git installed, it
cannot evaluate the internal revision from git.
It would be handy to set the interna values to n/a in that case, when
those variables are not set (because i set them manually in that case,
before i call the mitk makefile).
I use something like this at the the moment:
snip >>>>>>
# this is the new superbuild. disable
SET(MITK_USE_SUPERBUILD OFF CACHE BOOL "Build MITK and the projects it
depends on via SuperBuild.cmake." FORCE)
# NEW MANUAL VERSION INFO BLOCK
#################################################
# the new mitk repo is using git, we use subversion. The MITK makefiles
# therefore cannot determine the git revison number;
# see also the 3rdparty/MITK/CMakeLists.txt Line 214.
SET(GIT_FOUND FALSE CACHE BOOL "Forcing find git to FALSE because we do
not use git" FORCE)
SET(GIT_EXECUTABLE "" CACHE BOOL "Forcing find git to FALSE because we
do not use git" FORCE)
# use "git rev-list -n 1 HEAD" manually in the git console
# and write the resulting version number by hand:
SET( MITK_GIT_REV_MANUAL d2b23333cdbd4a0a28000772fbb17f7dc64a0195)
SET(${prefix} MITK)
#SET(${prefix}_WC_REVISION_HASH "n/a")
SET(${prefix}_WC_REVISION_HASH ${MITK_GIT_REV_MANUAL})
#then do:
# git name-rev ${MITK_GIT_REV_MANUAL} like, e.g.:
# git name-rev d2b23333cdbd4a0a28000772fbb17f7dc64a0195
#and record the found name under name:
#SET(name "n/a")
SET(name "master")
SET(${prefix}_WC_REVISION_NAME ${name})
MESSAGE (STATUS "")
MESSAGE (STATUS "* current manual revision: "
${${prefix}_WC_REVISION_HASH} )
MESSAGE (STATUS "* current manual name: " ${${prefix}_WC_REVISION_NAME} )
# END OF NEW MANUAL VERSION INFO BLOCK
