Hello John,

you will need to download and build QT beforehand, whereas VTK is downloaded
and build during the superbuild process, for more information on the superbuild
visit our build instructions
http://docs.mitk.org/nightly-qt4/BuildInstructionsPage.html

To build Qt you basically follow the instructions on their help pages:
http://doc.qt.nokia.com/latest/install-win.html
or
http://doc.qt.nokia.com/main-snapshot/install-x11.html

Hope this helps,

Regards,
Caspar

Betreff: [mitk-users] need help to build MITK

Hello,

I am trying to build MITK. I use visualstudio2010 and cmake with GUI. Is it
necessary to build first Qt and VTK, or I could only build MITK using cmake and
the source code that I have download? And, if is necessary to build Qt how I
can do that as the source code does not include any CMakeLists file for the
cmake. Finally, could I use cmake instead of Qt and what is the differences
between them?
