What I actually meant was to work with the github.com features. You
would have to create an account and click on the "Fork" button of the
MITK-ProjectTemplate repository. This will create your own clone
associated with your github account. After pushing your changes to your
clone (you don't have commit rights for MITK/MITK-ProjectTemplate) you
would send a "Pull Request". The github facilities make the reviewing
and merging process a lot easier. And more fun :-)
Please use the method with which you are most comfortable.
